The best way to care for your wool sculpture and guarantee they will last for years to come is to handle them with extreme care.

Most sculptures are not meant to be given to children, but I do my best to make my sculptures to be able to stand up to gentle play from a child who knows how to take care of toys.

Do not pull on fur, hair, limbs, or wire decorations on your sculpture. Moving well attached limbs gently is welcome, but never push them past their limits or yank on them.

You can mildly adjust the pose of my sculptures created with wire armatures by gently pushing or lightly bending limbs into the desired positions. Do not twist more than 1/4 turn in any direction or push past resistance as it will weaken the wire over time.

Please be mindful that sculptures with long hair or fur should be given extra care in handling since over-handling will cause the fur to matte and felt down in the same way that regular teddy bear fur does over time. Since my sculptures are made with wool and other natural fibres, this can happen faster than it does with the artificial fibres most stuffed animals are made from today.

After awhile you may notice your sculpture looking fuzzier than before. This is caused from handling it over time. Use small scissors to trim the stray fibres to renew your sculpture to its original state.
